COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PRACTITIONER
Gail Jacobs has 40 years’ work experience in the Public, Private and Civil Society domains having worked in the development arena. She partners with various organisations to fulfill their mandate which includes Socio and Economic Development, Project Management, Training and Capacity Building. She is a proponent of strength-based community development methodologies and is passionate about equipping community leaders to participate in the development agenda. She is a Master Trainer of the Community Capacity Enhancement methodology and forms part of the team who trains government officials. She serves on various boards relating to Arts, Bursaries and Radio. Her qualifications include a Honours Degree in Commerce, Honours in Education, a Bachelor’s Degree in Music and a Higher Diploma in Education. Her years of experience gained in the work environment constitute a wealth of knowledge, expertise and experience in the following disciplines: • Business Development and Strategic Planning • Municipal Finance Management Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development • Stakeholder and Client Liaison • Skills Programmes, New Venture Creation, Adult Education • Quality Management Systems Networking and Strategic Partnerships • Monitoring and Evaluation Workshop Facilitation • Project Management.
